Senior Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin was targeted and trolled by Indian Twitter users while attempting to take a dig at the retired South African cricketer Herschelle Gibbs, who commented on Ashwin’s commercial advertisement promotion on Twitter (with no bad intentions, apparently).
Irony of the whole incident lies in the fact that Ashwin, who considers himself a person of sarcasm forte, couldn’t understand the sarcasm (or the intent) of a rather harmless comment by his fellow cricketer. Ashwin clearly lost his mind and his cool and replied to Gibbs’ comment with a rather unethical jibe on the fixing charges on the former South Africa man. Gibbs still remained cool and replied that he was just trying to be funny and didn’t intend any disrespect, but instead of apologizing for his blunder, Ashwin tried to cover up the mess with another senseless tweet, absolutely failing at it.
I totally believed my reply was a joke too, but look how people and yourself perceived it. I am totally game for this sort of fun mate, we shall dine over this sometime.? https://t.co/Z7YdXQnxeD

Meanwhile, cricket experts like Harsha BhagLe and Sanjay Bartan Maanjkar were heard saying that Ashwin should really consider taking classes for humor and sarcasm from HMP members, because they never disappoint. The best part of the incident though, was how Indians reacted to their favorite bowler’s tasteless jibe. Everyone called it a disgraceful tweet and asked Ashwin to take it down and have some respect for the former South Africa man because he meant no harm, henceforth once again proving why Indians rule hearts all over the globe, with HMP members leading the pack.
Overkill. That's like nuking a country in the response of a security drill.

Sorry Ashwin, but this is harsh. @hershybru is a legend of the game and do you have proof that he fixed the match? I'm an Indian and I dont expect a player like you who is representing #IND to disrespect other players. We all know what CSK did, your former IPL team.
